Wrigley: Today was the Daytona 500!!! Since we were born after the 2007 Season ended, this was all very new to us. But our mommy seemed very excited about it, so we tried to be excited too.
First we all gathered around the TV and waited for the race to start. Mommy even wore her Jimmie Johnson jersey that daddy got her for Christmas! We waited...and waited...and waited. We all got kinda bored. This "Pre-Race" stuff is no quick business.
This pre-race deal was taking waaaay too long, so I decided to cuddle up with the lapdaddy for a nap.
Cobalt assumed napping in his many weird positions. We really aren't related!!! I swear!!!In this one, he had BOTH of his paws hanging in the air. How does he do that? We may never know! Finally he woke up and spent some quality time with mommy.
Mom was watching the race on tv AND on the computer. Whats up with that?!Her and the lapdaddy even hooked up the computer to the SURROUND SOUND so they could hear Jimmie Johnson's In Car Audio all over the room. It was very cool for them, I suppose.
Finally, with only a few laps to go, I figured the race was worth getting into.Daddy got me a stool so I could see a little better. Thanks Dad!
Lastly, Cobalt joined me to see the end of the race. Our heads went back and forth watching the cars!Ryan Newman is the winner?! Yeah, we can't believe it either. We were hoping Jimmie Johnson would win. But sadly he got in a crash. We hope he's okay!
And that is the end of our first experience of NASCAR!! Boy was it fun...we sure can't wait until next Sunday!

Here We Are!
Sorry we've been so absent lately. Things around the house have been very busy!! My cousin had a baby yesterday, Connor Scott, which is very exciting. Besides that, just still working a lot on working on getting Chris healthy again. He seemed to be feeling good yesterday, so I'm optimistic that whatever he had is out of his system. Yesterday was Valentines day and it was wonderful. After nearly 5 years of dating, this was the very FIRST Valentines Day that Chris and I got to spend together as we were a long distance couple for practically our entire time dating. Chris bought me a card from the boys and decided that they should "sign" it. So Chris traced their paws with permanent marker. (Well only Wrigley since Cobalt was who knows where) Now Wrigley has 2 very green paws...lets hope it's not permanent. :-P
Today, the boys had their vet visit to get their 3rd distemper shot. They both did great. Wrigley is 4.1 pounds and Cobalt is 5.1 pounds. Cobalt has a huge fatty pouch on his belly which the doctor said was normal, so thats probably the cause for his being much heavier than Wrigley. The trip home from the vet was a different story. About 2 minutes into our 5 minute drive home, Cobalt I guess got scared and pooped in the carrier. By the time we got home, both of them had paws just COVERED in poop. They got little poopy paw prints all over our bathroom. I attempted at giving them both baths and now they are clean kitties. Yuck! 3 weeks from now they'll get their final distemper and rabies shot. They we just have to worry about getting them neutered. Wrigley has had diarrhea the past two days which I think MAY be due to his food. We give them each 1/2 a can of Blue Buffalo every day. But Chris also got this "Kitty Milk" at the grocery store which maybe the cause as well. We're going to stop the wet food for a few days and see if the diarrhea goes away. I brought in a sample and they checked and didn't see any Coccidia left, so thats a good sign. They are sending it to a lab for further analysis just to be sure though.
Finally, I will leave you with some photos from the past week.
We'll start with Cobalt. First, him and Wrigley pulled down a blanket from the futon and somehow created themselves this tent. They're mighty talented. We think we should nickname him "SuperKitty" since he slept like this for a good long time.Or makes himself look like an "L".And hanging upside down off a pillow. I don't know how he could possibly be comfortable. Then we shared a moment. He didn't seem to like it too much.Mr Handsome.
And now for Wrigley. He looked ready to play. Then we shared a moment. I think he liked it a little bit more. He is just SO cute.
And some together pictures. They LOVE to cuddle when we sleep. And cuddle when they sleep.Chris would pound me if he knew I posted this, but see how they like to get RIGHT up close! They love to help me blog. And look outside and wish they could be there.
Wednesday, we had an AWFUL ice storm. I've never seen ice like this before. The boys enjoyed it from indoors!
The ice over my WHOLE car was this thick!!
Yesterday, Chris and I bought the boys ties. After all, they are Tuxedo Cats and whats a Tuxedo without a tie?
HEHE, we love them SO much!

Our Little Adventurer
Well, the boys are both out cold right now, so I'm going to take over the posting for this evening. Cobalt is becoming quite the little adventurer. He is just so curious and not afraid of anything. If he does something once and fails, he's right there to try again. Anyways, a few months ago my mother-in-law was in town visiting, and she's a little, well...clumsy? In the events of the weekend, she managed to run into our screen door thinking it was open. This caused us to have a very tiny hole at the bottom of the screen where it came out of the door. Yesterday, Chris had the sliding door open and the screen shut to let in some fresh air since it was unseasonably warm here. He laid down on the couch and started watching tv and a bit later looked outside. Well what does he see...Cobalt walking around on the balcony. LOL. So Chris opened up the screen door and Cobalt ran back inside, but immediately tried to get back out. HAHA. So, Chris fixed the door which prompted Cobalt to sit at the door and cry. So sad that he couldn't get back outside. Poor boy!! I guess it's time we buy them harnesses so that we can take them out. I don't want them falling off our 3rd floor balcony.
Now ever since, Cobalt seems increasingly interested in going outside. He's chased me to the door when I leave for work, sits longingly at the window and looks outside. He seems very interested. So, I think we'll be needing to keep an extra close eye on the little guy.

Still Taking Those Medicines
Wrigley: Sorry we haven't posted much lately. The beans are still fascinated with those new cell phone things they got and not spending much time on the computer. Cobalt and I are doing well, we still have to have those pills shoved down our throat every night, but mom says we're almost finished with them. In reality, we're not even half way done, I think she just says it to make us feel better. It works, because we don't give her too much trouble when she gives us our medicines.
We're doing much better at not crying at the beans door at night and in the morning. Our lapdaddy is sick so we don't go in there much at night since he needs his get better rest. We hope he gets better real soon because we want to learn how to sleep with our beans. (We really just want to play catch the bed mice, but don't let the beans know that!!) In the morning after dad goes to work, we go back to sleep and wait for mom to wake up to feed us. Before we would just cry a lot so she had to get up.
All in all, things are going well here. We just eat, sleep, and go the bathroom. I guess thats the life of being a kitten. Oh, my mombean says we should purrrray real hard for the families of those 5 women murdered in Chicago. The store is only 10 minutes away from where she grew up and her mom and dad still live in that area. It is very scary. Even one of the people killed worked at the high school our mombean went to. So please purrrray for them and that they catch the person who did it real soon.
And so we don't go pictureless, here is a picture to show you that despite all our fighting, we still love each other very much!

Award & Meme
Wrigley: YAY, Cobalt and I have received our second award and we couldn't be more excited about it. It's called the "You Make My Day Award" and we were given it by Diamond. Thanks, Diamond.
We will pass this award on to our identical twins from across the big pond, Lyra & Ceasar.
Secondly, we were tagged by our furry friends Gandoph and Grayson at It's All About Meow to do Tigmut’hep’s meme. You need to tell everyone 3 things that are new with you! Link it back to Tigmut’hep and the purrson who gave it to you and pass it on to 3 more kitties you’d like to know more about!
1.) The beans found some of Zeus' toys today and gave them to us to play with. There were 3 balls and they all make noise. We love to play soccer with them. Mom says we're practically pros.
2.) The beans got new cell phones on Wednesday and they are fascinated with them. They play with them a lot which leaves less time to play with us. At least we have each other...and we hope the novelty wears off very soon.
3.) Our dadbean has a toy called "Tickle Me Elmo: TMX". We think it's very funny and we love to watch it. Although sometimes it scares us quite a bit.
Again, we'll tag anyone that hasn't done this one yet. We hope everything is well with all of you guys, we're kind of tired tonight so we will spend tomorrow catching up on all of your blogs!!
